DOT Compliance Services
Companies that fall under the Department of Transportation’s rule 49 CFR Part 40 are subject to strict and often confusing regulations. Most companies need a partner who can help them navigate the complex regulations,
ensure they are always compliant with federal regulations and allow them to focus on their business
Transmetron Drug Testing has been an expert in DOT and federally mandated testing for more than 10 years. Allow us to help you navigate the regulations that apply to you so you don’t have to worry about your DOT compliance.
Federally Mandated Drug & Alcohol Testing
As a DOT-regulated organization, you must meet specific federal requirements, which vary depending on the mode of transportation you operate. A very specific drug and alcohol testing program is the first critical
piece of a DOT program.
The Part 40 rule requires all safety-sensitive employers to conduct proper drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment, randomized, for-cause, and post-accident testing.
Collectors at Transmetron Drug Testing are trained according to federal DOT regulations and protocols to ensure that your employees receive accurate and reliable testing and that you remain in compliance every time
they visit Transmetron.
Consortium
Companies under DOT regulations are required to comply with federal requirements for random testing. Transmetron Drug Testing offers two randomization programs based on the size and specific needs of your business:
For larger companies with many employees under DOT regulations, a stand-alone pool may be sufficient to ensure the appropriate frequency of testing for your employees.
For smaller companies, a random pool is the best option. A random pool ensures your employees don't have to test as frequently as larger companies. Contact us to determine which consortium option is right for your company.
Onsite & After Hours
While not always required by DOT regulations, on-site and after-hours testing can provide additional safety and convenience for employers.
Transmetron Drug Testing collectors can come to your facility, saving you time, reducing downtime, and providing you peace of mind when random, for-cause, or post-accident testing is required. Our staff adheres strictly
to all federal guidelines, even when on-site—including appropriate random selection, strict chain-of-custody protocols and accurate collection procedures for both urine drug collections and breath alcohol tests.
The biggest challenges most DOT companies face are understanding the regulations of DOT rule 49 CFR Part 40 and making sure they comply with all of them. You need a partner who can help you manage your program so that
